Why Chasing the Dragon?

Most of you know our little guy as Kian. Well our baby Kian was named at birth by his birthmother, Nguyen Van Long. In Vietnam your family name is first, then your middle name which often refers to your gender then, what we in America think of as our first name; Kians given "first name" is Long. Long in Vietnamese means Dragon.
We have been told by the many families that have met our "little dragon" before us that he was a fiesty, inquisitive little boy. We have also noticed in many of the pictures he is looking like he is in everyones business :)..... So apparently his birth mother named him appropriatly. We figure we will be doing a lot of chasing of this little "dragon" and so that is why we have decided to call the blog....Chasing the Dragon.
Thank you all for joining us on our journey and please leave comments when you are done reading these posts so we know who is watching!

Can't wait to follow this journey guys, how I wish I could be there to see my little brother when he meets his son for the first time (i'm tearing up now just thinking about it) How appropriate the little guy's name is dragon in so many ways (huh Pops). I'm so excited I could pee myself....
Love you guys and can't wait to see this journey unfold.

Kim and Rocky,

What a lucky little guy Kian is to have a mommy and daddy who are fighting so hard for him. It will be worth every tear and every minute of heartache once you have your little dragon. How wonderful it will be to have little Kian in our family. I love you both and will be with you in my heart. Much love and safe traveling. Auntie MJ
